WILD ABOUT GARDENS WEEK 25th – 31st October 2013
In association with Royal Horticultural Society and The Wildlife Trusts
EARLES MEADOW CONSERVATION GROUP
Over the weekend of 26th and 27th October we made small log piles and bug huts to distribute around the homes of Members of the Earles Meadow Residents Association.
On Saturday 26th October 11.00 to 12.00 and Sunday 27th October 14.30 to 15.30 we ran workshops where children, and adults too, learned about the importance of insects and made their own “log shelter” or “Bug Hut” to take away.
Also we made a “Bug Hotel” to be located in Earles Meadow, which is 13 acres of Public Open Space owned by the North Horsham Parish Council and where the Conservation Group work on the first and third Sunday of each month from 10.00 to 13.00.
New Members are welcome to come along to a work session. Click on the Conservation Group tag for further information.
